Be Self Employed!!! -AJ Gold's Story

Ajayi Olayinka, CEO of AJ Stitches (a fresh student of Chemistry at FUNNAB) shares her story with Success Stories.

AJ Gold
Your name Ajayi Gold was used to coin AJ Stitches, can you tell us what AJ Stitches is all about?

Ajstiches is a brand that deals with fashion especially in clothing, accessories (major is wireworks), and decoration...

When does the brand start?

2017

From the look of things, your passion for fashion is second to none, can you tell us the reason?

A line of my eulogy says Ajayi arowosoge that one who can afford materials for fashion. So Ajgold likes fashion and will do anything to afford it. I ventured into wire works for a start and later went into fashion designing because I wanted to show the world the level of my creativity and zeal for fashion.

Can you tell us your experience in wire work?

I actually learnt few designs for a month and I myself was able to create more designs apart from the ones my master taught me..I enjoyed making wire works because new designs evolve everyday. Wire work is a nice accessory but the materials for making it are now very scarce in the market..

How did you feel while handling your first work as a fashion designer?

I felt fulfilled actually even at the beginning. I immediately saw myself as a boss.

Can you tell us your success story in the fashion world?

Seriously am yet to have one because  my dreams are yet to come true concerning my brand. But hopefully one day, I'll share my success story with the world.

What are the challenges you face in the fashion world?

Getting customers is not easy. You have to convince them that you are capable enough to give them whatever they want or desire. And not just customers, I mean loyal ones who will not stop patronizing at the slightest mistake.

Another thing is electricity. Styling requires a lot  of it and you know this our country.

Does your profit tally with your  effort after sowing?

Not in all cases, I still want more persons to see the need to patronise Ajstiches, so at times I put more effort than what am being paid for- like adding stones, buying expensive materials and the likes.

What range of profit do you make in a week or month if we may know?

50% monthly, most customers are family and friends and am still trying to draw people closer

50% of what?

On every amount charge

How many costumer(s) do you get in a week?

3, but mostly my customers are usually a group

Who is your mentor in this field?

My male master and Ceeluminee

What your advice for unemployed youths who are looking forward to white collar job?

Be self employed!!!  Learn something you can confidently boast of. It will only take time, determination and little sacrifices

How do feel about telling your success story to the world to inspire someone?

Right now, it's unexplainable but I really look forward.....

Finally, say shoutout to your customers, friends and family.

I want to say a big shoutout to all famz, friends and customers. Thanks for your love and support. God bless u all.
